what if when glee ends they won nationals and everything and everyone thinks it’s over but mercedes just says out of nowhere that she hates everyone and kills them all and sings a dream girls solo over the dead bodies of the mckinley high glee club and it fades to black
And then club you all to death and eat you.
As it should be!
Why is “I don’t see colors, I see people as humans” offensive?
I’m honestly asking. I just saw 2 posts about how offensive it is
not explaining why, just that it’s offensive.
and I do not understand.
Also? I don’t understand how it’s not racist to say you hate white people. Because I follow a blog and the owner is constantly putting white people down and talking about how he hates white people because of all they do but that he isn’t racist because white people can’t be victims of racism. I am confuse. Saying you hate all white people because of the things some white people did to you sounds pretty racist to me.
As I, a white person, understand it: “not seeing color” is offensive because it’s erasing to everyone that’s not white. Everyone is not equal, privilege is real, and no amount of wishing and hoping and not talking about racism is going to change that. “Colorblind” cannot be a thing; you’re either racist, or you’re not.
The guy sounds prejudiced toward white people, perhaps they’ve fucked him over personally so many times he’s just given up hope on the lot of us (and that’s understandable,) but racism is the systematic oppression of a large group of people based solely on their race, and whites have not and will not ever know that. White people can’t be victims of racism because white is the “default” in our society.
“in our society” is vitally key here. for example, white people are not the default and are seen as secondary in Japan and many parts of Asia. if you think all white people everywhere are immune from racism, it does go to show how eurocentric and narrow minded you are. also, what is white here? most jewish people are pushed into the ‘white’ category by default. by that logic you can’t be racist against jewish people (or italians or poles or hungarians). we all know where that kind of fallacy gets us.
no one is actually colorblind but there’s a big difference between not caring what someone’s race is and letting white guilt turn you into a pandering douche who repeats definitions and ideas that are faulty at best. everyone may not be equal socially but does that mean i should patronize poc’s and belittle whites to try and make up for it? no. i think that’s insulting to everyone involved.
Many classic horror icons, such as Geger’s xenomorphs, Silent Hill’s Pyramid Head, and other disturbing creatures, share common characteristics. Pale skin, dark, sunken eyes, elongated faces, sharp teeth, and the like. These images inspire horror and revulsion in many, and with good reason. The characteristics shared by these faces are imprinted in the human mind.
Many things frighten humans instinctively. The fear is natural, and does not need to be reinforced in order to terrify. The fears are species-wide, stemming from dark times in the past when lightning could mean the burning of your tree home, thunder could be the approaching gallops of a stampede, predators could hide in darkness, and heights could make poor footing lethal.
The question you have to ask yourself is this:
What happened, deep in the hidden eras before history began, that could effect the entire human race so evenly as to give the entire species a deep, instinctual, and lasting fear of pale beings with dark, sunken eyes, razor sharp teeth, and elongated faces?

i’m making my sister an infinity scarf and i’m currently working it in the round. however, should i abandon this method and restart with a provisional cast on and use a three needle bind off at the end?
thanks!
…
do a small swatch on the straight needles and see how the gauge compares. when in doubt, rip it out though, unless it’s a test piece.
among other things. it’s been a pretty major feature of my life lately, feeling unattractive and blah because i could barely bathe initially. after finding a hairstylist, getting a decent cast and de-atrophying my left hand i’m able to do the basics. mascara, brushing my hair, etc. but not being able to shave was driving me crazy.
i did no shave november because i was feeling a combination of contrary and lazy but i ended it a few days before december. so the fact that i mostly shaved both legs with my left hand is kind of a relief. now there are still a million other little things to relearn. but i feel better.
i’m also getting my skin back in order, it went a little crazy after the accident. stress i guess, and climate. food and stuff hasn’t really been an issue despite my mom finally getting back, i guess because i just buy frozen meals and eat those and drink milk. i must say things are going better than expected with a return to normality, hence why i haven’t been blogging as much. well, off and on. i guess if focusing on my looks is what gets me there, there’s nothing wrong with being kinda vain.
the best thing about being white is if you like something embarrassing you can always pull the irony card
The fact that the majority of teenagers would rather listen to Justin Bieber or Taylor Momsen over Jimi Hendrix or Pink Floyd makes me want to fucking kill myself. Literally.
up next on MTV’s “White Girl Problems”: special snowflake and part-time tumblr user felicefawn is literally contemplating suicide over people having different music taste than her and thinks she is better than everybody else because she kinda sorta knows who jimi hendrix and pink floyd are
Anti-femme culture (and feminists aren’t immune to this) thinks the effort put into femme presentation is a waste of time and energy – or, at the very least, time and energy that could have been spent doing something more important. Anti-femme culture thinks “pretty” probably means “dumb” even when struggling against a culture obsessed with an impossibly narrow beauty standard. Anti-femme culture thinks you can’t do math AND do your nails.
We are humans! We contain multitudes! I do not think it is a problem that teenaged girls are interested in experimenting with presentation via fashion; I think it’s ridiculous and misogynist that they are ONLY encouraged to do that – and that boys don’t have the same freedom of expression.

I am so tired of this stereotype of european men being more effeminate or gay because they have the freedom to indulge in fashion and actually care about how they look. You can’t tell that someone’s gay by looking at them and it certainly has nothing to do with fashion. It’s sad that US men have cut themselves off so thoroughly from everything but ”classic” styling.
